Human Rights Advancement
The CHARM consortium dedicates substantial efforts to bolster human rights protection and advocacy across the region. Through various initiatives and interventions, CHARM seeks to empower human rights defenders, support marginalized communities, and confront systemic challenges obstructing the enjoyment of fundamental rights.
Fostering Civic Space
Acknowledging the vital role of an open and inclusive civic space, CHARM actively engages in defending the rights of civil society organizations (CSOs) and activists. The consortium navigates restrictive legal environments and fosters dialogues to protect civic space for meaningful citizen engagement and collective action.
Promoting Media Freedom
In a dynamic media landscape, CHARM takes a stand for media freedom and pluralistic journalism. By supporting journalists, enhancing media literacy, and advocating for press freedom, the consortium facilitates the dissemination of unbiased and accurate information to the public.
